Wow. This was a great (yet busy) weekend. I write this Sunday night while watching HP 5 with Tanna, and this is the first time I’ve sat down for longer than 10 minutes all weekend. FRIDAY- I went to work for a few hours, then to Zac’s house to give him a new dread. We then headed to Boone’s Grill to try it out. Their burgers are great! And they have sweet potato fries, and they’re on off campus meal plan. And not crowded like Kickin Chicken and King Street Grill. Super impressed. Then we headed over to Kudu, saw Sophie, then went to an art show with Kenny and three of his friends. The art show was great! It was in the ghetto, so we drove, but it was like a hidden treasure. The painting with the sailboats below and the portrait of the sheep are my faves.

After the art show, I went to Cinebarre with Gina and Adam and we saw Puss in Boots. It was actually HILARIOUS. So so random, but so great. We were laughing all the way home.
SATURDAY- Oh Saturday, oh YALLFest. I spent my whole morning and afternoon working as a volunteer at YALLFest, Charleston’s First Annual Young Adult Book Festival. Blue Bicycle Books sponsored it and they brought in around 20 nationally known YA authors who gave panels and writing advice. I was half in charge of the VIP room. It was crazy- I knew those people were famous (they requested coffee and had groupies) but I didn’t actually know who they were haha. I haven’t read a YA book in a long time. Saturday night Zac and I went to delicious Spring Roll (we got matching fortunes!) then headed to the Charleston Symphony. Yes, we went to the symphony, and we had GREAT seats in the mezzanine. Emanuel Ax was there, apparently one of the world’s top ten best pianists. We ran into my Music Appreciation and Zac’s Music Theory II professor, Edward Hart. He is so classy. We ordered Sprite and Coke at the concession stand while everyone else (who were all over 40 by the way) ordered champagne. We felt like kids. We ended the night the only way you can, by watching Shaun the Sheep.
